The Asheville Art Museum proudly presents an Up for Discussion talk with Maggie Steber on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in Diana Wortham Theatre. Tickets are $3 for Museum Members and $5 for non-Members. 

Maggie Steber is a highly-awarded documentary photographer, educator and photo editor whose work has appeared in international exhibitions as well as major international magazines, including Life, The New Yorker, Smithsonian and currently National Geographic. She has worked in 59 countries, specializing in telling the stories of underrepresented people. 

A joint program of the Asheville Art Museum and The NC Press Photographers Association, this talk is held in conjunction with The Olmsted Project: Photographs by Lee Friedlander. The Museum’s galleries will be open from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.to event ticketholders.
