Cool events all around. Press release here:

Hi Jason,

American Craft Week is a nation-wide celebration of craft taking place during October 7-16. Out of 200 participating galleries, artists and organizations that participate, Western North Carolina hosts over 40. I think this is a huge accomplishment and I’d like to share some of the free events with your readers.

Sunday, October 9 from 2-4 at The Folk Art Center (Mile Post 382, Blue Ridge Parkway): Screening of Craft in America’s newest episode: “Family”

Sunday, October 9 from 7-9 at The Fine Arts Theater (36 Biltmore Avenue, Downtown Asheville): Craft in America and Beyond lecture by Carol Sauvion, Producer of Craft in America PBS Series

Tuesday, October 11 from 6-8 at HandMade in America (125 S Lexington Ave, Suite 101, Asheville): Free Craft Lab: DIY Social Networking for Craft Artists

Thursday, October 13 from 4-6 at Haywood Community College (Charles Beall Auditorium, Clyde, NC): Objects and Meaning lecture by Anna Fariello, Director of the Craft Revival Project

Friday, October 14 from 5:30-8 at HandMade in America (125 S Lexington Ave, Suite 101 Asheville): Crafted: an exhibition highlighting the work of craft artists in Western North Carolina

(more can be found at www.americancraftweek.com/wnc and press releases for HandMade in America events can be found here)

If you would be so kind to include any of the information on Ashevegas it would be wonderful!

Thank you and best wishes,

Jamie

What the heck does this have to do with beer? Craft Week is about handicrafts, not "craft" beer, and none of the listed events appear to have a drinking component.

Not everything in Asheville is about the beer biz!
