An anonymous Ashvegas reader says the following:

WLOS now says they are NOT switching off their analog signal February 17th. However, WMYA still is. So what happened there, WLOS insiders? It doesn’t really make much sense to deny WLOS the right to cut theirs off early, but allow WMYA to do so. Both stations are literally broadcast from the same room.

WLOSers, can you confirm? What’s happening?

IF WLOS flipped the switch early, they would be one of the only ABC stations in the country to be digital… and many people have not gotten convertor boxes…losing viewers scares the poop out of them. Also, thank God they aren’t flippin the switch early, I hear the power bill carrying two transmitters(digital and analog) is huge….thus costing more JOBS. They don’t want to lose anymore people!
