Hey y’all. This is Ashvegas2 coming to you from Las Vegas. While Ashvegas1 is holding it down in the cool, green mountains, I’m living la vida loca here in Vegas.

Haven’t hit any millions. Have sweated like a pig. Temps have been setting incredible records. It was 116 when I arrived, and the AC had broken down in the Vegas main airport terminal. People were miserable. High today was supposed to be about 115. I’ll have to check it.

Either way, it feels like you’re getting hit in the face with a blow dryer everytime you walk outside. The heat just envelopes you.

But there’s really not much reason to go out of doors. Why bother? Everything you need is right there, in cool, air conditioned comfort. The slots. The blackjack tables. The drinks. The food. The Gucci and Armani and Hermes shops. The nudy shows.

At night, there is one reason to go outside – to see, and walk, the strip. It’s something else.

Anyway, Vegas1, hope you’re doing well. I’ll be doing periodic updates, so if the blog looks a little out of order with posts, it’s because I’m messing things up here in Las Vegas. 

Time to get a drink, kick back and catch some of the spray off the Bellagio fountain.
