Weddings are big business. Weddings are big business for Asheville, and in Asheville. I wonder what impact the current economic trends have had on the wedding industry as a whole, and on Asheville in particular.

Anyhoo. Press release here:

Asheville’s newest and most romantic wedding location, Castle Ladyhawke, will be an exhibitor at the Asheville NC Wedding Festival January 16th, 2010 at the Asheville Civic Center. Area brides have been delighted with this newest addition to North Carolina Wedding venues. Although newest may be a misnomer, as a frequent question is “how old is this place?”

Once a private estate, Castle Ladyhawke has been offered for private bookings for weddings and other special events since 2008. An authentically recreated Scottish Border Castle, Castle Ladyhawke has captured the dreams and imaginations of the area’s newly engaged. Meticulous attention to detail and historic construction has created a structure that truly feels as though it were built hundreds of years earlier. Complete with sixty foot spiral staircase housed in a crennelated stair tower, this manor house entices with its’ medieval ambiance and period appointments. Privately situated in the middle of a sixty acre gated mountain estate, the castle offers year round mountain views and spectacular fall color.

Offering both garden and indoor ceremony and reception sites, we guess brides won’t have to worry about the weather on their wedding day, either. Comfortable for weddings of up to 200, Castle Ladyhawke is sure to be a popular booth at this year’s Wedding Festival, the area’s first bridal show of 2010. Booking and package Information regarding Castle Ladyhawke can be found on their website at: www.castleladyhawkeweddings.com. You may also call them at 828 894-0466 for further information.
