Here’s the press release:

The Asheville Tourists, champions of the Southern Division for the first half of the South Atlantic League 2008 campaign, have announced that playoff tickets will go on sale at the McCormick Field box office beginning Friday, June 20, at 10 a.m.
The Tourists will host the second game of the Southern Divisional Championship Series against the second-half winner on Friday, September 5, and the third game (if necessary) on Saturday, September 6. The winner of the Southern Divisional Championship Series will then host the first two games of the South Atlantic League Championship Series, slated for Monday, September 8, and Tuesday, September 9.

Single game playoff tickets at McCormick Field will be available for $9 for general admission, $12 for box seats, $42 for the Asheville Citizen-Times Clubhouse and $47 for the Dugout Suites. Four-game playoff packages are available at a reduced rate, including $32 per general admission pack, $44 for box seats, $152 for the Asheville Citizen-Times Clubhouse and $172 for Dugout Suites. Senior, children and military discounts are also available at the box office.

Fans who purchase or renew full-season, half-season or 50-game flex ticket packages for the 2009 campaign and pay in full by August 1, 2008, will receive playoff tickets at no cost. The Tourists will issue four playoff tickets per package. In addition, any mini-plan purchased for 2009 or new mini-plan bought between June 13 and August 1 for the 2008 slate will qualify the purchaser to buy playoff tickets at the regular season rate, including $7 for general admission ($24 for the four-game playoff pack), $10 for box seats ($36 for playoff pack), $40 for the Asheville Citizen-Times Clubhouse ($144 for playoff pack) and $45 for the Dugout Suites ($164 for playoff pack).

Any money remaining from unplayed playoff games will roll over to the 2009 season. For additional information, contact the Tourists front office at (828) 258-0428.
