From my story for Asheville Scene:

VegHeads, the drive-thru vegetarian restaurant on Merrimon Avenue, is planning to open a sit-down restaurant in downtown Savannah.

“We’ll be at 37 Whitaker St., right across from Paula Deen’s and next door to Sweet Melissa’s,” said Juliette Sellars. Sellars’ mother, Eleanor Halsey, owns Vegheads.

Sellars said her husband, Chris, is a friend of the owner of Sweet Melissa’s. A hamburger joint next door to that restaurant closed and the owner offered up the space for a second Vegheads location, Sellars said.

I’m so happy to see these folks doing so well. What a great concept. I hope they knock it out of the park in Savannah!!

…but our beloved drive-thru isn’t going anywhere, is it? Best fast food ever!
