The Asheville Independent Restaurant Association (AIR) was formed in fall of 2002 as a volunteer organization dedicated to fostering a stronger business environment for Asheville’s locally owned and operated independent restaurants. In 2008 the AIR Foundation was formed to fund culinary scholarships. The mission of AIR is to cooperatively promote the common interests of and contribute to the well being of those locally owned independent restaurants and individuals engaged in the food service/hospitality industry in Asheville, North Carolina.
Pomodoro’s is def a local restaurant. There are two locations in Asheville. Tommy, the owner, is a super nice guy. It is NOT a chain restaurant. There are only 2 Pomodoro’s in existence.
Pomodoros is a local chain, but Sunset Terrace and the Blue Ridge Dining Room are much more suspect considering GPI is owned by Sammons Corporation.

Pomodoros? How are they in AIR? It’s a chain, no?
