Asheville police announce latest graffiti-related arrest

Here’s the latest press release from the Asheville Police Department:

On April 1st, 2014 at approximately 10:20 PM, the Asheville Police Department received a vandalism in progress call on Carolina Lane. Tonya Dee Anderson, 28, of Franklin, was caught tagging the exterior wall at 43 Carolina Lane. The Western Carolina student was arrested and charged with injury to real property.

In addition to increased police patrols, City staff members across the organization have been working with business owners and community leaders to address the graffiti problem. Efforts are aimed at both immediate and mid-to-long term solutions.

The first and most important action to take when observing someone “tagging” or damaging property is to report it immediately. The Asheville Police Department number is 828-252-1110. Buncombe County Crime Stoppers is 828-255-5050.

Here’s the last arrest for a similar offense.

pfew! i tell ya. With much assurance I can say that police and citizens are next in line to me in wanting to rid the land of bullshit taggers. Let the pro frright slayers run tings. They make shows like Jeopardy and The Kardashians to ensnare the masses
