According to Stephanie Morgan of stephaniesid, Asheville musician Michael Libramento, who’s played locally with stephaniesid, Floating Action and Jar-E, has joined Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. Check Libramento out above in the video to “Never Go Back,” the first single from the new Grace Potter release due June 12.

Michael Libramento bio from the Black Mountain College Museum + Arts center website:

Multi-instrumentalist/composer Michael Libramento has been working as a musician in Asheville for several years. He is known for his dynamic and unique drumming style, due to his role in Mind Vs. Target; however, it would not be out of place to find him as a left-handed, upside-down electric guitarist or bassist in a rock club, in pop groups such as Stephanie’s Id or Jar-E…possibly at the Hammond organ or Wurlitzer electric piano at a studio session…or laying down some vocal harmonies over his minimalist soul productions. In addition to live performances in venues across the country, including festivals like Bonnaroo and South By Southwest, Michael is often helping record/produce his friends’ albums or teaching private music lessons.

It is true, I picked him up from the airport in Savannah to play with GP&N for their show in Forsyth Park (Savannah) for the SCAD New Alumni Concert. Cool guy. Goes by “Hashbrowns” now apparently…
