The holiday shopping season is here, and we’ve got a killer list of Asheville pop-up shops ripe for yuletide perusing. Shop local, buy local, y’all!

The West Asheville Tailgate Market will be hosting its annual Indoor Holiday Market at the Mothlight on Haywood Road starting Nov. 27. The market will run on the Tuesdays between Thanksgiving and Christmas: Nov. 27, Dec. 4, Dec. 11, and Dec. 18. Shoppers will find great food and locally made holiday gifts.

The Mothlight in West Asheville is hosting other pop-up events, as well, including the annual Mr. Fred’s Art Fair and Coat Drive on Monday, Dec. 3, and a Dec. 15 holiday pop-up.

The Show & Tell Pop Up Shop goes from Nov. 30 until Dec. 19 at the Asheville Masonic Temple. It’s open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. They’ve curated goods featuring more than 125 local and indie makers, designers, and vintage wares including clothing, jewelry, decor, greeting cards, and more.

The Big Crafty celebrates its 10th year Holiday Preview Party on Saturday, Dec. 1, at the US Cellular Center and costs $5 and is free for kids, or come out Sunday, Dec. 2, for free. The Big Crafty features 170 carefully selected artists, crafters and makers.

Asheville Community Yoga will host its third annual holiday art market from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 2. The event will feature locally made food, ceramics, photography, jewelry, savory and sweet treats, and more. A portion of each purchase will support Asheville Community Yoga. Many of the vendors have also chosen to donate one item to a special raffle basket, and the lucky winner will get an entire basket full of goodies from the market. (The basket is valued at more than $600.)

The Asheville Holiday Flea for Y’all will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 1 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 2 at the WNC Ag Center in Fletcher. Admission is $3 and kids are free.

The Creperie & Cafe in Weaverville is hosting its first holiday pop-up shop from 5-9 p.m. on Dec. 6 at 115 N. Main Street adjacent to the creprerie. More than 15 local vendors will be represented.

The Center for Craft is teaming up with the Penland Gallery at Penland School of Craft to bring 25 artists to Asheville for a two-day holiday pop-up shop from 5-8 p.m. on Dec. 7 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 8. The shop will present work in clay, textiles, metal, glass, print, wood, and jewelry by WNC artists affiliated with Penland School. Join us to meet the artists and enjoy fine contemporary craft and well-designed objects.

The Asheville Area Arts Council and Open Hearts Art Center will host a holiday market and open house on Dec. 8 at The Refinery space on Coxe Avenue. Shop handmade goods and meet the artists.

The fourth annual Holiday Craft Bazaar at Asheville Music Hall and The One Stop will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec. 15. The list of 25 local vendors includes everything from candles and crystals to hemp products and handmade leather wares.
