ASHEVILLE, N.C. — An Asheville firefighter was taken to the hospital after battling a blaze at an apartment complex on Sunday night, officials said.

A representative of the Asheville Fire Department said the blaze started just after 8 p.m. at the Kennilworth Apartments on Arden Road.Officials said that the fire destroyed four units at the complex.One firefighter was taken to Mission Hospitals and treated for heat-related injuries, officials said.
