Two Asheville guys are finalists in a national competition to bring a green business franchise to Asheville. It’s called Clean Air Lawn Care. Check out the video and Jonathan’s note, and give them a vote.

Dear Ashevegas,

My friend Matt and I have made it to the final round of a national competition to bring a green business franchise here to the Asheville area. I have attached a press release that describes the contest and the business.

I didn’t know if this is something that is news worthy or could fit somewhere in your blog. However, people could certainly take a few seconds to click the link and vote for us.  We are trying hard to bring this sustainable business here to our area to benefit both our community and the environment. We thought this might fit well with the Ashevegas message.

As you will see in the attached release, the final round of this contest is where the public votes for their favorite video. All people have to do is go to the following link and vote: http://www.cleanairlawncare.com/opp2010vote.html.

Many thanks!

Jonathan Allred

Asheville, NC Local is Finalist in Online Contest to Win a Green Business Franchise
Asheville, NC – Clean Air Lawn Care has officially launched Opportunity 2010, a once in a lifetime opportunity for a deserving individual to win a Clean Air Lawn Care franchise with the tools provided for success. The contest is now down to five finalists. Jon Allred and Matt Card from the western North Carolina area, is one of the top five, with a good chance to win, thereby bringing a green lawn care service to the Asheville area.

Our country is emerging from an economically difficult 2009. There are many hard-working Americans who are currently recovering from unexpected events. At the same time, we are undergoing a climate crisis and a need to re-examine our values as a nation toward living and working sustainably. Opportunity 2010 (this contest) is designed to give a 2nd chance to someone who has the skills, passion and determination to be successful and do something positive for themselves and their environment, but who may not have the means.

The ideal winner of Opportunity 2010 will be business-savvy, environmentally minded, and passionate about improving his/her life and the environment in their community. They also will have had a challenging 2009, financially or otherwise. Both Jon Allred and Matt Card fit this description. An online vote is going on right now until March 16th and is open to the public. The winner will be announced March 18, 2010 and will receive:

•Clean Air Lawn Care franchise, along with ongoing support, valued at $35k
•Lawn equipment donated by Black & Decker, valued at $1k
•Virtual Grand Opening donated by GenGreen, valued at $3k

To vote for Jon and Matt, go to: http://cleanairlawncare.com/opp2010vote.html.

The most important thing now is that we need your vote to win. Please take a few moments to log on and vote.
