Asheville City Council candidates announce kick-off parties: Jackson and Miller to hold events

Asheville City Council candidate J. Neal Jackson and incumbent Kelly Miller, who is seeking re-election, will be holding kick-off parties soon.

For Jackson, soon means tomorrow – Saturday. Eagle Street will be closed off at some point on Saturday evening, and Jackson, a local businessman, plans to make his announcement about 7:45 p.m. Check it.

Miller’s event happens Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Windows on the Park in downtown Asheville. Miller’s event will have music by the Firecracker Jazz Band, and he’ll be serving beer and wine.
