Here’s the press release:

In early 2017, Asheville Brewing Company (which fronts Coxe Avenue in downtown) will expand Asheville T-Shirt Company into the space currently occupied by The Millroom (which fronts Asheland Avenue). While the four-year-old event venue has proved fun and successful, the T-Shirt Company’s explosive growth requires significant additional square footage. Moving that business from its current space under The Millroom will give room for new printing equipment and a walk-in retail shop featuring Asheville Brewing gear and merchandise. The current T-Shirt shop location will be used as additional brewery storage for now, with plans to expand brewing operations as well.

“We’ve had a great run of comedy shows, parties, reunions, weddings, and other happy community events at the Millroom, and it was a difficult decision to let that go,” says Mike Rangel, Asheville Brewing president. “But we’re excited to make room for more top-of-the-line printing and embroidery equipment so we can continue to offer other small Asheville businesses a place to print high-quality T-shirts, ball caps, and other cool stuff.”

While the Millroom had a super successful past year, the move of the printing business upstairs into the larger space will allow for the addition of automated printing equipment. With this, and the new increased production capabilities of embroidery, the T-Shirt Company will be able to be able to fulfill large scale orders both locally and on a national level.

“We believe in great customer service, the highest quality products and processes, and fresh, compelling art design,” says Josh Gates, Asheville T-Shirt Company manager. “We’ve got a great team, and we’re looking forward to continuing to grow.”

Gates and his family moved to Asheville just over a year ago to take the helm at the company after he managed a large West Coast printing production facility.

About Asheville T-Shirt Company

The Asheville Brewing team decided it’d be lots of fun to design and print our own T-shirts. So in 2001, we bought some printing equipment and set up shop behind our downtown brewpub. Now we design and produce T-shirts and other gear for numerous local and national businesses. Some of our Asheville businesses include Buxton Hall Barbecue, Hi-Wire Brewing, UNCA, Asheville Beecharmer, Luella’s Barbecue, Ben’s Tune-Up, Asheville Greenworks, and Pinups for Pitbulls.
