craftbeerACTHere’s the press release, and the rather lame description of Asheville Beer Week:

BOSTON, May 22, 2013 – FlipKey.com, a leading vacation rental marketplace, today revealed the top ten summer beer festivals for thirsty travelers. From drinking beer in the outfield of Raley Field in Sacramento to hopping on a LaZoom bus comedy and beer tour during Asheville Beer Week, these festivals offer good beer and good times to the locals and tourists who travel to sample regional offerings and nation-wide favorite brews.

Asheville Beer Week, Asheville, North Carolina May 25-June 1: Rightly named, “Beer City USA”, Asheville is hosting their second annual beer festival. The festival kicks off with tastings from 50 home brewers and a party at Asheville Brewing Company. The festival also features the LaZoom bus, where beer lovers can enjoy a comedy and beer tour around Asheville.

Philly Beer Week, the American Craft Beer Fest and Great Northern Beer Festival also make the list.

Asheville actually lost the official crown of Beer City USA this year in online polling to Grand Rapids, Mich. And while the homebrew event and the LaZoom bus rides are fun, there’s much, more to get excited about. Check out the Asheville Scene to read about the tap takeovers, beer dinners and more.
