Asheville Barnaroo is awesome. Here’s the press release:

Andrew Scotchie presents Asheville BARNAROO for the 5th year at Franny’s Farm in Leicester from Sept. 29 though Oct. 1 featuring non-stop music over 33 acres and three days.

Sunday is free to the public. AVL BARNAROO was started by Andrew Scotchie in 2009. Since then the festival has grown up and continues to evolve musically. Its purpose is to showcase, promote and celebrate local and regional singer songwriters and bands in the rock & roll, Americana and funk genres.

Barnaroo’s goal is to give back to the youth music community through Asheville Music School. The Festival is a weekend event at Franny’s Farm with optional camping. Sunday is free to the public from 9 a.m. to festival closeout at 2 p.m. We feature amazing local and regional performers, plus student bands from Asheville Music School. There’s local beer from Hi-Wire, local food from Farm to Fender food truck, talented regional crafts & artist, dancing, great people and awesome music!
