Here’s the report from ufostalker.com. The UFO was spotted Saturday, July 28:

A bright orange-red light was observed already in flight, heading directly up extremely fast . until disappearing out of the earth’s atmosphere. The light from the object was either seemed to fade as it accelerated upward and away from the planet’s surface. This was observed from the subway parking lot on new leceister hwy looking towards the southwest in direction of smokey park hwy.

Just last week UFOs were reported around Asheville, but the sighting was determined to be a launch of sky lanterns, airborne paper lanterns powered by a brightly burning fuel cell.

I saw what must have been one of these sky lanterns over downtown. Had no idea what it was, but it’s cool to know now.

Yes exactly what I thought, people were sending sky lanterns up around the 4th of July.
