The folks at AshevilleNC.com have introduced a new photo gallery feature. Personally, I like flickr, but here you go:

For those craving photos of Asheville and its surrounding areas, look no further. The largest Asheville information web-site has introduced the Photo Gallery, a unique part of its already robust offerings, in order to better serve the community through photography. There are many things that make the Asheville Photo Gallery unique, allowing users to better access existing photos as well as add their own.

Browsing the current offerings in the Photo Gallery is easy. Simply go to the Photo Gallery homepage, and either use the keyword search feature atop each page, or simply browse through the existing user-submitted photos. Selecting an individual photo will bring up the Photo Gallery Slideshow, a browsing tool to select amongst existing pictures.

Anyone can post their own pictures of Asheville. In addition to submitting photos, users can also comment on existing photos, create new tags, rate each photo, e-mail the picture to friends, and even report photos as offensive.

Hey thanks for the heads-up, Jason. I have tried to upload photos there but there must be something quirky with my system (Firefox, Greasemonkey) that won’t allow it – i’ve contacted the webmaster to find out what the prob might be.

Were you able to upload there?
