ASHEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA WELCOMES SIX TIME GRAMMY AWARD WINNER AMY GRANT FOR HER FIRST EVER LIVE PERFORMANCE IN ASHEVILLE ON NOVEMBER 15TH, 2013.

Amy will perform for one night only at the UNC Asheville Kimmel Arena on Friday, November 15th at 7:30 p.m. “An Evening With Amy Grant” will treat concert attendees to some of her biggest hits as she performs songs from her extensive repertoire, along with selections from her critically-acclaimed new album How Mercy Looks From Here.

    Wow, my mom listened to her on repeat for my whole childhood! When Grant started wearing a red cloak, my mom stopped listening because Grant was perceived as a witch. Grant has a very pretty voice, and I just might have to go check out the show.

    One of Wanda Greene’s objections to an auditorium in a new building proposed for AB-Tech was that it would be used for non-college events – in addition to college events – and that might jeopardize the tax status of tax-free bonds floated to finance the building. How is UNCA able to rent out Kimmel Arena to outside promoters – that’s what the Amy Grant concert appears to be – without jeopardizing the university’s non-profit status?
