From Action Fest:

Why wait for the festival to get your action fix, when you can cut your teeth on your own action film project and get a chance to win great prizes with the inaugural “30 Seconds of Action Challenge!”

Write, direct and produce a thirty-second action movie! It can be about ninjas, pirates, soldiers, kick- boxers, robots, aliens, anything at all – it just has to be thirty seconds of jam-packed, kinetic and exciting action. Need some inspiration? Check out one of the first action films ever made: William Dickson’s Chinese Laundry, less then thirty seconds long, but pretty badass.

Three submissions will be selected to represent the festival as Official Bumpers, screening at ActionFest 2011 events and screenings and each finalist will receive two VIP badges for this year’s festival. During the fest, the ActionFest 2011 Jury will review the three finalists, and award one filmmaker a grand prize that includes over $600 worth of HD editing software courtesy of SONY.

The deadline is March 30th.
