A few words on Russ

Did you guys see Russ Monday, I think it was at 5, maybe 5:30. He was doing a stand-up in a tobacco field, all serious, about how blue mold is attacking farmers’ leaf crop. Russ is standing there, where the plants tower above him, going on and on about blue mold. Funny stuff, that.

Didn’t anyone tell him he looked like the blue mold, with his blue shirt out there in the field.

Also speaking of Russ looking silly, I missed this but Lightnin’ said he nearly fell out of the chair Saturday as Russ was doing his stand-up at 6 from Bele Chere. Just as Candice tossed the report to him, a rather large African American guy runs up, wraps an arm around Russ to hug him, mugs for the camera, then runs off.

Russ was very professional. He just kinda laughed, then went into his report. Damn, I hate I missed that. There’s always next year, I guess.
