Saturday, thousands of beer lovers descended upon historic McCormick Field to down some craft brews, stand in line a lot and down some more beer delivered in small glasses. Oh, and listen to some kick-ass bluegrass music.

It was a beautiful, chilly afternooon. The event sold out its 3,500 tickets, which left many a hippie scrambling. Distraught, and draft-less, many ended up jamming downtown beer joints. That, plus this being high tourist season, meant one happening downtown scene.

Back at Brewgrass, brewers poured and poured. Couples lolled in the baseball park’s outfield. Many enjoyed an early buzz. All in all, a relaxing afternoon in Ashvegas.

Cool shot. Makes me feel slightly dizzy. Or perhaps I’ve got a bit of a buzz on.
