FoxCarolina has it:

ASHEVILLE, N.C. — A flight school with offices in Asheville, N.C., and Greenville, S.C., closed its doors this week. Now, some of its students are wondering if they will get their money back.

Falcon Air Link released a statement on Thursday, which blamed its recent bankruptcy on the struggling economy. The company said it in no way intended to deceive or mislead its students.

Because of the closure, any tuition paid to the company by students and pilot’s licenses are on hold.

Former students, some of whom were nearly finished with the program, are wondering if they will get their money back.

“They declared bankruptcy yesterday and everyone’s telling me we’re out our money,” said Tom Hagins, a former Falcon student pilot. “They owe me $9,000. Where’s it at? What are they doing? How can they sleep at night?”

“They have a lot of our money, which we can’t train with until we get it back,” said Deanna Linke, another former Falcon student pilot.

The company that loaned money to students for Falcon Air Link said it could take six months or more to get their money back.
