I hate to defend Cuervo but he did as well as NOAA and the Weather Channel did on this one. This is a hard area to forecast weather in because of the variables. If he had called for bad weather and the other outfits had not I’d be less foregiving.
Of course the argument can be made as to why anyone tries to forecast here at all since you can statistically do almost as well by flipping a coin.
pubcrawler, i don’t understand – he deserves a break because he got it wrong? he deserves a break because he called for everything, and we got a little bit of some of it?
Hey, Ash, why not give ol’ Cuervo Simon a break when it’s due? At my house I’ve seen "snow, sleet, rain, freezing rain, snow showers," and "slush." "Frozen precipitation" fits many of the above. The only thing I can’t confirm is verga but for a long time this morning both the NOAA and Weather Channel maps showed precip overhead with nothing hitting the ground here. NOAA also predicted a big storm as did the Weather Channel.
Speaking of Mike Simon/Cuevas I wonder if he’s related to Simple? Should have thought to ask this before.
