Press release here from loyal reader Chall:

Dear Friends, Fans, and Future Friends of The Magnetic Field,

Since our beginning, we have made it a core part of what we’re doing to continue to work with new and interesting people from the area, and we have been continually surprised at the talented and amazing folks that we’ve met already. (Here is a list of all of the folks we’ve worked with since we opened last December.)
We just wanted to let you know that we are currently working on putting together the shows on our schedule for 2012, and if you’re interested in working with us, we’d love to hear from you.
If you specialize on the technical side, be it set design, costumes, lighting, sound, music, or whatever else, please send us a note introducing yourself, and with an attached resume, to [email protected].
If you’re an actor, we’d love to meet you. While we don’t often hold general auditions (we don’t feel like it’s necessarily a good way to get a feel for how someone might be onstage), we have a monthly show called Magnetic Midnight, on the first Friday of each month, that we find is a fun and good way to find new talents and for people to introduce themselves to us (for more info visit http://www.themagneticfield.com/magnetic-midnight).

We’ve got some really amazing shows on the docket for 2012 (including a retelling of Frankenstein, by Steven Samuels, dramas, comedies, a series of one-acts, and perhaps even our first world-premiere musical!), and we look forward to sharing them with you, and potentially working with you as well.

Also, please feel free to send this on to anyone you think might be interested.
Yours,

Chall Gray

Yes, absolutely. We pay all of our designers, technicians, actors, board operators, etc.

We also have volunteer positions available for ushering, painting, etc. Folks interested in volunteering should contact our volunteer coordinator Julie Holladay-Carter at [email protected].

For those interested in working on a show, I can be reached at [email protected].
