This is gonna be a big show. Lots of people downtown. So be prepared:

The Transportation Department will implement the following road closures and detours Tuesday night (June 7) to ensure the smooth flow of traffic near the Asheville Civic Center during a sold-out event.

Some 6,500 tickets were sold for the Mumford & Sons concert, which starts at 8 p.m.

The following traffic patterns will be in place from 5 p.m.-midnight in the listed areas.

• Hiawassee Street and Rankin Avenue – CLOSED.

• Flint Street and Cherry Street – CLOSED.

• Haywood Street and Flint Street – CLOSED.

• On-street parking will be prohibited along the east side of Haywood Street between Vanderbilt Avenue and Flint Street. Towing will be enforced.

• Access to the Civic Center parking garage along Haywood Street will be limited to right-turning vehicles only. No left turns will be allowed at Vanderbilt Avenue. Access for left-turning vehicles will be along Walnut Street.

Mumford and sons, the british version of the original Avett Brothers. A Band that has more corporate media buzz than the original . . .something is not right
