As sad as I was to see Custom Boutique leave Asheville at the beginning of 2011, my frown is totally turned upside down by this announcement by Harvest Records: They are expanding into the former home of Custom Boutique, which will mean more retail and performance spaces for the independent record store.

And because all good news should result in a proper party, Harvest is hosting a grand re-opening shindig.

Here are the details from the West Asheville store’s Facebook page about the March 4 event:

We will be celebrating our brand-spankin’ new EXPANSION with tons more music on the floor, brand new art (in a variety of mediums) from the following local artists:

Alli Good
Andrew Hayes
Carley Dergins
Dennis Smith
Anna Thompson
Nathan Northup
Anna Jensen
Nathanael Roney
Leila Amiri
James Monahan

… food & beverages….

and the amazing
CLOUDLAND CANYON playing at 8pm.

So will you please come out and celebrate with us?
