Fun! Press release here:

The 50-man Land of the Sky Chorus will give a free concert, full of harmony and hilarity, on the Bascom Lamar Lunsford Stage, Pack Square Park at 7 p.m. on Friday. The area’s premier a cappella singing organization specializes in “barbershop” style four-part harmony singing and family friendly comedy antics. The fast-paced, energetic repertoire appeals to today’s audiences -pop, jazz, Broadway, country, gospel – not your grandpa’s barbershop. The chorus entertains audiences throughout western North Carolina and is one of the fastest-growing chapters of the Barbershop Harmony Society.

The concert will also feature a fantastic guest quartet, 17 Below. For more information see our webite www.ashevillebarbershop.com, or call 866-290-7269.

Donations will be solicited and will be used for educational donations to a local student singing organization.

The Land of the Sky Chorus, is a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) organization. Every year, we strive increase our performance and philanthropic endeavors in the community. Uppermost in our philanthropy is the support of music education in our local schools. Traditionally, performers in all areas of the arts look to donors for financial assistance. In these tough economic times, the vitality and success of many artistic endeavors in our schools are at the most risk and are in need of all of our support.

Bring a lawn chair, or a blanket, and come enjoy some great free entertainment under the stars.
