Word on the street: McGee-Bianchi is new Verve editor

Melanie McGee-Bianchi is a talented, experienced and well-known freelance writer in Asheville who has contributed to a number of publications, including Mountain Xpress, where she was once arts and entertainment editor, Our State magazine and Verve.

McGee-Bianchi is an excellent wordsmith. Check out two quick examples: a story about mountain swimming holes for Xpress and an exquisite, poignant piece for Verve with the self-explanatory title “On Loving My Husband Without Dumping My Twin.”
