Update on Feb. 1, from Blend Gallery’s page on Facebook:

Big Announcement: Bittersweet news, after a nice run on Lexington and more than a few great nights we have decided to terms on a buy out. We are more than pleased with the change and excited to see what the new owner will bring to the table. First things first there is already a plan in place to move from Lexington Ave and should be a go by the Springtime. We will keep you updated on progress of that here. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our loyal customers, we had a blast over the past years and without you it wouldn’t have been successful. There is still time to come out and enjoy a hookah over the next few weekends some come on out and celebrate with us!

Contact us if you would like to purchase one of our couches or the bar stools as they are for sale directly. and available for pickup next weekend.

Original post on Jan. 24: Word on the street is that Blend Gallery, a Lexington Avenue hookah joint and bar, is moving to a new location soon. I’ve heard that Blend is moving up on Broadway Street. This is unconfirmed information at this point.

Blend Gallery is a fairly recent addition to Lexington Avenue. I think it’s only been open about a year or so.

Anyone have any more detail?

Well since they were shut down and not “bought out” I think it is HIGHLY unlikely that they are re-opening anytime soon. I think A.L.E. will have something to say about that. But the good news is that Hookah Joe’s, a REAL Hookah lounge has reopened at 79 Coxe ave. We don’t “blend”, we stand out…

HAHA, I’m self righteous because I don’t want my nose to be assaulted by the non-showering community? Makes complete sense.

This is true. The owner is trying to get away from the vagrant community that hassles women and customers outside, the move is much appreciated. As for SucksGuysNamedMcgee, his self righteousness isnt wanted anywhere, so its better he doesnt go to places where non-douchey folk congregate.

I used to enjoy this place on a regular basis. The worst part is when you are there hanging out with friends, and a group of hippies walk in. Not your normal hippies mind you, hippies that have an inherent aversion to showering. Their stink would fill the entire place in minutes, and most [normal] people in there wouldn’t be able to breathe. I stopped going after that happened a few times.
