Word on the street: Adele cancels N. American tour, including upcoming Asheville date

Word is that Adele has cancelled her North American tour, which included a stop at Asheville’s Thomas Wolfe Auditorium.

Hollywood Reporter confirms it:

British singer Adele has scrapped the remaining nine dates of her sold-out North American tour due to laryngitis.  

She already had postponed five shows under doctor’s orders following her recent diagnosis. While resting in Los Angeles, she met with an Otolaryngology specialist who determined it was imperative that she take the next few weeks to recover.
The June 18 show had been scheduled for the Orange Peel, but it was moved to the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium due in no small part to high demand. Adele has been super hot of late.
