When I was growing up in Aville, the Windsor was a wild and mysterious place. My many trips to Hearns bikes would always involve having conversations with the gentlemen who hung out front.
Often they offered to hold my bike for me while I went into the store (I declined their offer).
I haven’t been down there in a few years, but am surprised it’s still there.
Oi, this sucks. I honestly like and appreciate the Windsor as it is something that stands for real city life here. Once it’s gone, what’s to show for AVL’s real urban history? We may as well start talking about putting a dome over the city for our own little Logan’s Run-esque trendy consumer utopia with plenty of bus parking. Sheesh. Where can these people afford to go?
