Charu’s afro
So when did Cherub Charu grow an afro? Did ya’ll see her last night at 11? She had one of her weird, funky hats on while during her stand-up. That was one helluva afro-hat, girl. You go.

Charu reported on the continuing power outages from last week’s ice storm. It must be Day Six or something horrible like that. Maybe that’s why Charu was wearing that hat. Anyway, Charu informed us that, sadly, two people died of carbon monoxide poisoning. One person ran a generator inside a garage and the other had a wood stove that apparently wasn’t working properly.

Freebie’s on the job
New Ashvegas City Council member Bryan “Freebie” Freeborn, who lost the election but still got a council seat anyway, attended last night’s West Ashvegas informational meeting about the proposed Wal-Mart Supercenter. The WLOS story didn’t tell us anything new, then had a quick soundbyte from a resident or two and Freebie, who said he was there just to learn as much as he could.

Whatever, dude.

Here’s my prediction: if and when this Wal-Mart location on Smoky Park Highway comes before City Council, Freebie, you’re voting against it.
