We spotted Michelle Boudin and Julie Wunder as they prepared to hit the airwaves with live stand-ups Friday. Not that they were hard to find, what with their van with the giant tower sticking out of it. But what’s up with the plain white van?
I always think it’s odd, too, how the TV personalities hide out in the truck until it’s time to work. They can’t just hang out with the rest of us.

When Michelle and Julie did make their entrance, there was much primping of the hair. That’s all they did for like five minutes, actually, like they were petting themselves. We know these folks are self-possessed, but give it rest.

The reporters stay in the truck because most of the time they are working until the last minute..
The package they front live is only one of about four or five stories they do that day..so they’re logging bites, writing scripts and calling them in for the other shows..
