Spuyten Duyvil (Spitting Devil) is the name of a confluence of turbulent waters. Mixed performance/visual media and an intergenerational cast explore the questions: is violence inevitable? What does protection mean? Can we call on forces greater than ourselves? Does memory live in the land? A movement/film/sculpture installation in 3 acts (9 scenes) directed by Amy Hamilton. Sculpture and set by Victor Palomino.

The Asheville Fringe Arts Festival celebrates more than 30 of the weirdest, wackiest, most wonderful acts on the local, national and international scene. The event is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. Festival organizers Jim Julien and Jocelyn Reese work hard each year to bring a range of performance artists to town for the event. Their goal: to provide original, groundbreaking performances from a deep and diverse well of talent at a low cost, with some performances free and staged as public events.
