Multiple GRAMMY Award-winner alt-country singer and songwriter, Lucinda Williams, plays a special show at the Orange Peel on Friday, May 30th, at 9 p.m.

In January of this year, Williams re-released her self-titled 1988 album, to much critical acclaim, which featured the single Passionate Kisses, a song later recorded by Mary Chapin Carpenter, which garnered Williams her first GRAMMY® Award for Best Country Song in 1994.

Lucinda has released a string of albums since then that have helped shape and define the genre we know as Americana. In 1992, she earned another GRAMMY® in the Best Rock Female Vocal Performance category for the single Get Right With God.

In 2002, TIME magazine named her America’s Best Songwriter.

Tickets are available for $35 in advance – you can buy yours now at www.theorangepeel.net.
