Zakk Wylde, the frontman and founder of BLS, was famously discovered by Ozzy Osbourne, who hired him away to join him as his lead guitarist, allowing Wylde to escape his previous life as a gas station attendant in NJ. His career playing and writing with Osbourne led to multi-platinum success and led Wylde to create his own band, Black Label Society in 1998. In the years since, the band’s many fans (known as Berserkers) all over the world have clamored for the band’s signature uncompromising, unfiltered and unrestrained rock and roll. Black Label Society counts among its inspirations notable guitarists including Randy Rhoads, Eddie Van Halen, Frank Marino, Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin and Albert Lee , as well as a diverse range of vocal inspirations: Elton John, Gregg Allman and Ronnie VanZant. Wylde has won nearly every guitar award imaginable, and fans are in for a rare treat, seeing him play in the intimate environment of the Orange Peel.

The tour comes to Asheville on Thurdsay, July 24th and goes on sale this Friday at 12 pm. Tickets are $29 in advance, open to ages 18+. Visit www.theorangepeel.net for complete ticket information.

This would be a great and wonderful way to spend my anniversary/birthday weekend. I promised my husband this for our 18year anniversary, but when I went to get the tickets they were sold out.
