Keowee Chamber Music @ WCQS

Message from Kate, of Keowee Chamber Music. (I think these live music shows are awesome.) Listen in at WCQS, 88.1 FM:

Just wanted you to know some of my colleagues and I are doing another live show on WCQS, Thursday, May 14, at 2 p.m. – music of Latin America for flute, guitar, string quartet and percussion.

But wait. Kate has more:

Also Keowee Chamber Music’s 9th festival is happening June 9-21 (listing below) with a few kids programs before the actual festival.

If you’re not familiar with the Keowee Chamber Music Festival, you’re missing out. It’s two weeks chock full of amazing programs. There’s lots of free music. There’s music workshops for kids. Go to www.keoweechambermusic.org to read all about it.

And now that you’ve read this far, here’s your chance to win two tickets to the festival’s concert on June 14 at First Presbyterian Church, a concert followed buy a fund-raising dinner at Stovetrotters. Tickets are $75 per person here, so Keowee Chamber Music is hooking up loyal Ashvegas readers. Awesome.

Here’s the deal: in the comments section on this blog post, be the first to tell me the famous composer who wrote the music for the opera Don Giovanni, and you win the tickets.

Thanks to loyal reader Kate for this promotion! And watch for more.
