Here’s a brief look at some of the headlines:

WLOSers were on hand for the dedication of the Billy Graham Library over in Charlotte. The reverend was there, along with former presidents Carter, Clinton and the elder Bush. Graham said he felt like he was attending his own funeral.

The State Bureau of Investigation is looking at what happened early Thursday when Asheville police chased a suspect through town and shot at him. The chase went through Lee Walker Heights, down Tunnel Road and into Haw Creek. The police didn’t hit the suspect, but they shot the passenger in his car twice.

There could be a rabid fox on the loose in West Asheville. Folks who live on Hi Alta, be careful.

Lots of fun stuff to do this weekend – there’s the Chocolate Festival at the Grove Arcade; don’t forget that Ghost Town is now open; there’s a Tourist basesball game tonight and they’re going to honor an old manager; and there’s lots of good music, including the Asheville Music Jamboree down in Mills River.

Happy weekend all!
