Friday

Cold Mountain Release Party: The much-anticipated annual release of Highland Brewing Co.’s seasonal Cold Mountain Winter Ale. It all starts at 4 p.m. Friday at the brewery.

Black Star Line Brewing Grand Opening Party: The new brewery in Hendersonville celebrates its opening. The brewery is Western North Carolina’s first black-owned brewery.

Saturday and Sunday

River Arts District Studio Stroll: See nearly 200 working artists and their studios in this annual affair.

-Cotton Mill Studios after-party: The new owners of the historic Cotton Mill Studios are celebrating their location by hosting the official Studio Stroll after-party. There will be performance artists, food and drink on site starting at 5 p.m. Check out our video for more details.

Saturday

Hurricane Relief Fundraiser at Salvage Station: More than a dozen local bands, dancer performers and artists will perform throughout the day, from noon until midnight, to raise money for hurricane victims in Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico, Dominica and the Virgin Islands. Sirius B. will kick it all off, with other performers including samba band Zabumba, The Funk Trio (Jake Wolf, Ram Mandelkorn and Jacob Baumann), the Bindaas Bhangra dance crew, Devils in Dust, the Liquid Sirens dance crew, DJ Nex Millen and The Saylor Brothers of bluegrass fusion group Brushfire Stankgrass.

Habitat Tavern and Commons One-Year Anniversary Party: Habitat Tavern and Commons brewery on Broadway will celebrate its first birthday on Saturday with a big day full of food, music (Kevin Williams and Dulci Ellenberger of Holy Ghost Tent Revival, and Brie Capone) and fun. Also, the Asheville Improv Collective has a full weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) of improv and comedy at Habitat.

-The Fritz, Asheville’s soul-driven dance rock band, will celebrate the release of its latest album, Natural Mind, at Asheville Music Hall starting at 9:30 p.m. Swift Technique opens.

Asheville Food Truck Festival: The first-ever Asheville Food Truck and Craft Beer Festival will be held at Asheville Outlets from noon until 5 p.m.
