The North Carolina legislature that convenes on January 26 will look dramatically different from previous ones.  Not only are the Republicans in the majority in both houses, there will be many freshmen legislators.  The legislature is also facing a budget deficit of over $3 million that they need to somehow fill.  Come hear Julie Mayfield, Executive Director of the Western North Carolina Alliance, talk about what these changes and the stateís budget problems mean for North Carolinaís environment.
