I’m going to offer an unqualified plug here and say that if you need help with a home re-financing or similar financial matters, call Kent Wolff at Mountain Lifestyles Mortgage and see if he can help you.

With interest rates at incredible lows, I recently refinanced my home loan, and Kent did the work. (It didn’t hurt that I did a little debt consolidation along the way.) Kent and his crew were professional, helpful and downright great to work with. Kent, an Asheville native, knows just about everybody in town, so if he can’t help you, he’ll know who can. At my closing, we worked with attorney Greg Goosman, another great firm and all-around good guy.

I know this sounds like an ad, but Kent’s not paying me to say this. Kent’s not giving me any special consideration for this. I’m doing this because Kent helped me and I want to help him. (It’s the Asheville way, isn’t it?)

I’m just telling you – if you need help in this realm, consider calling Kent at Mountain Lifestyles Mortgage. You won’t be disappointed. Tell ’em Ashvegas sent ya.

Unfortunately, I paid off my mortgage a long time ago. If only rates had been then what they are now instead of the 12% I was paying in the mid-80s, I wouldn't have refinanced then down to the low, low rate of 9.5% in the early 90s before paying it off finally and now being stuck with having nothing to put on my schedule A at tax time.

Kent is a great guy! You picked a good one! Also, the crew at Gooseman, Rose Colvard and Cramer are a rockstar group. Beth Cramer went above and beyond last week at a closing. I told her she was a hero.

Ash is right. Refiance now if an appraiser can comp.

    Glad you had success!
