The UNCA Bulldogs lost tonight to VMI, 97-75. It was the third straight loss for the Bulldogs, who started the season 18-4 and had been undefeated in the Big South Conference until the losing streak.

Now the Bulldogs, once being talked about as a possible NCAA Tournament 14 or 15 seed, aren’t such a sure thing. UNCA’s Kenny George, the tallest man in college basketball at 7-foot-7, has been battling knee injuries and their star guard Bryan Smithson has also been struggling with injuries and a shooting slump. George played four minutes Saturday night and had 4 points.

Let’s hope UNCA can get it back together and win on Wednesday against Radford.
