Wrapped trees at UNCA

Students at UNCA wrapped two trees on the quad in material donated from Mills Manufacturing, the parachute maker. They were inspired by the artist Christo, who is coming to Asheville next month to speak as part of a program by the Asheville Art Museum.

Now I know why you never see trees working in a cafeteria.

They didn’t last long. The wind yesterday mangled the covers pretty badly. They were taken down and will be attempted again at a later date.

LOL, maybe they will help protect the trees from the terribly COLD temps.
