Trash, Inc. is a clearinghouse for used goods and artsy, fun junk re-used as art and craft.

From its Facebook page:

At Trash, Inc. we divert usable materials from the waste-stream to be used in art, education, craft and DIY projects. You will find a wonderland of well-organized, clean, reusable materials for your special project. We offer birthday parties, make-n-take parties (adults too!), workshops and classes. We also have art space dedicated to local artists and crafters, where all pieces are at least 75% reuse.

Donations are accepted during business hours. Non-business donors can receive up to 15% off a materials purchase depending on the size of their donation. Or, we have a partnership with Brother Wolf Animal Rescue and we can give them a cash donation in your name while you get a tax deduction. Woof! We are proud to recognize our Business donors with a custom-made plaque on the Wall of Fame, located behind our counter. Please support them for doing the right thing!

Also from the Trash, Inc. Facebook page, its decision to close:

Trash, inc. is closing. WHY?!

Because we are caught in a lease maelstrom!

A dreadful lease situation can take the joy out of life…if you let her!

We have searched high and low for a place to move….ugh. No luck!

So, we’re just going to skip off into the sunset…

No worries, you’ll see us everywhere doing our reuse.

You should come say goodbye and take advantage of our sales.

Unless there is a Christmas miracle and we find a new space….

We will be closed by Dec. 31, 2012. Thank you for 2 ½ interesting years!
