The first was attended by about 500 people gather on the steps of the Buncombe County Courthouse. How many will turn out on July Fourth?

Building on the incredible momentum gathered at the Asheville Tax Day Tea Party, we will reassemble for the Asheville Independence Day Tea Party on July 4, 2009.

Then and there, we will Declare Our Independence from politicians from all parties who have given us over to government pork, confiscatory taxation, soaring national debt, the Federal Reserve Bank’s devaluation of our currency, private industry bailouts,
and endless wars.
