We here at Ashvegas have been fans of Russ “Beefcake” Bowen since Day One. We’ve always appreciated his newsy television reports and his perfectly coiffed spikes. We followed him from his days stuck out in the Waynesville bureau to his ascension to the weekend anchor desk.

Now it seems we have some competition. WLOS, during its weekly “Soapbox” report, interviewed some 16-year-old girl who had some nonesense to say about immigration law or something. The key was that she was wearing a “Russ Bowen Fan Club” T-shirt. It had a black-and-white image of Russ, an image that looked like his headshot here.

What’s up with that? Who is making these T-shirts? Contact Ashvegas immediately. We want one. Perhaps we’ll make our own. We are, after all, the original fans. Roses to Russ. Russ, where’s the love?

Russ, we apologize if we ever hurt your feelings by making comments about you being a little chubby or doing yet another sensational report about Dungeon Dan. (Someone said they saw you working out at the gym and you were looking awesome. Way to go!)
