Awe come on dempol, I see how many posts you posted on this topic. Your in love with the Carolina Stompers. Ha, Ha! Just kid!
Thank you for saying you did not hate me.
Disagree with me and our stances, fine. I would be worried if you hated me.
If you noticed there hasn’t been much going on at the Stompers this week.
I have been living at the hospital. My grandmother had a stroke and I asked my small staff to take leave while I was tending to her. I have her back at home now, and things are getting back to normal. Sorry I missed your comments.
I accept your apology for trying to make me and our members look like racist’s.
However lame and worded it was. I wouldn’t want you to look bad in front of your liberal friends. Lol.
When you lighten up, or we piss you off so strongly, or we begin to win elections locally, or you want a shot at taking me on, please remember our television shows are always open to you.
Chad
I knew they would never return to this on-line debate. Why would I ever entertain the notion of appearing on their cable "shows"? I rest my case.
Hey, Ash. How many times have we been through this before? Chad Nesbitt surfaces on Ashvegas with some nonsense and I call bullshit on it. He comes back with a poorly spelled response(check carolinastompers.com if you really want to witness a butchering of the English language)and I call bullshit on it again. So now he invariably accuses me of inappropriate, hateful remarks – exhibiting cowardice – and then challenges me to a debate on cable television. Why would I want to go there? Both of his programs are one-sided dialogues designed to make The Angry White Man feel justified in his anger and hate for all that is, and all who are, not just like him. So I admittedly cannot help myself and it is time for me to REALLY call bullshit on Mr. Nesbitt’s so-called facts and those claims he is really, honestly all about respect for everyone and bringing people together. A little research and my final response always scares him away. Nesbitt, Yelton & their Stomper crew disappear. Paraphrasing actor Jack Nicholson, “they can’t handle the truth.” Happy Valentine’s Day!
Here we go, Mr. Nesbitt:
1) So, one little law-enforcement ride-along up on the Parkway makes all that other crap acceptable? Not an equal trade-off.
2) You back your opinions with facts? Just like your heroine, Ann Coulter? Give me a break. The Carolina Stompers website is rife with non-truths, rumor and innuendo. Barack Obama not an American citizen, not constitutionally qualified to run for president? That was truly one of my favorites. Talk about “brain washed” and “cult minded.” I really do agree with the “don talley” belief that “all voices be heard”, except when those voices tell nothing but blatant lies.
3) Like many people who regularly post on Ashvegas, I choose to stay anonymous with my “dempol” pseudonym. My guess is you take the more public approach because you see it as a way to publicize/pimp your cable and internet enterprises. I am not afraid to use my real name. I just find it unnecessary. I am also not a coward, just someone who likes to poke fun at you NeoCons. And I would never think about accepting your invitation, thereby lowering myself into the gutter of one-sided discussions among yourselves.
4) Unfortunately for you, my intimation regarding the Klan and your two cable programs does not fall under the purviews of either slander or libel. Both must include statements aimed at a person or persons. I may have “struck a nerve”, but my tongue-in-cheek comparison of a racist rally to your stupid shows does not legally qualify. Not to mention, you are a self-proclaimed public figure and it is also quite difficult to get slander or libel charges to stick in that case. You ought to do a little homework before making such claims.
5) I think it is great that you are a “proud member” of the National Black Republican Association. I did notice you promote the NBRA on your website. So I checked the NBRA’s own website and found items like “Sarah Palin: Conservative Of The Year, Visionary Leader”(HA!), a glowing thank you letter to outgoing President Bush for all he has done to help African-Americans(HA!)and a “what is so bad about the ‘Obama The Magic Negro?’” song-parody first played nationwide by Rush Limbaugh and then sent around to members of Congress by the chairman of the Republican National Committee.(WOW!) Enlightened stuff, don’t you think? On the other side of our political coin, “Right Wing Watch” characterizes the NBRA as “a small, fringe group that tries to make a name for itself every election season by doing things like running ridiculous ads about how the "Democratic Party is a racist party.” NBRA Chairman, Dr. Francis Rice, your “personal friend”, publishes a magazine called The Black Republican with the help of GOP money. That magazine featured a picture of Ku Klux Klan members burning a cross, with the caption "Every person in this photograph was a Democrat." Still more enlightened stuff.
6) Fact is more Buncombe County minorities voted in this presidential election than ever before. That really pisses-off Republicans. Barack Obama’s “Campaign For Change” mobilized hundreds of volunteers, did good old-fashioned groundwork, and got voters out to the polls on November 4th. No one took advantage of anyone else. You just cannot stand the fact that the tired, wheels-falling-off, GOP “machine” does not care enough about the disenfranchised to engage them with the offer of civic involvement, real change and finally, some hope. The Republican Party wanted those people to stay at home on Election Day. They did not. Fact is simple, lazy, sit-at-headquarters phone-banking, robo-calls and scare literature hung on door-knobs will not cut it anymore. No future election will ever be won without following the Obama Plan. I am sorry your political nemesis came-up with the winning formula.
Finally, Mr. Nesbitt, I do not hate you, just like I did not slander you. I only hate what you stand for, along with others like you who actually hope President Obama fails and that a nut-bag like Sarah Palin moves into the White House come 2012. Forget God Bless America. God Help America.
I spent way too much time on this and you. I am done.
It’s your website and your free to use whatever boasts and marketing heyp[e you choose about how popular it is. I just hope you dont really believe the fantasy that 25,000 people are visiting your website and reading the content.
In regards to you content…..I admit it’s improved to some degee….
But your comment itself shows the incongruity of your claims about your website. You claim: "When we start reporting localy we promise to be fair and balanced." …but then in the same comment you state "That Democrat corruption and liberal stupidity we show at Stompers is hilarious isn’t it?"
So if your stated intent is to show that Democrats of stupid and corrupt…you lost any claims you have to being fair and balanced. You can have both.
That’s my problem with FOX….I think it’s great to have a conservative news channel…we need that. But just be honest about it. Come right out and say "Our goal is to present news from the conservative viewpoint" instead of the ridiculous assertion that the coverage is "fair and balanced"
If you really want your website to be read and taken seriously by those who hold variety of political viewpoints (as Mtn Express and Ashevegas do) …then you need to honestly evaluate the newsworthiness of your stories.
Example from your website:
OBAMA BUMPS HEAD ENTERING MARINE ONE
Makes me wonder what the next breaking news story from Carolina Stompers will be?
OBAMA BURPS AFTER DRINKING COKE
OBAMAS SOCK DONT MATCH
BIDEN TAKES WRONG TURN ON DC STREET
In spite of my sacasm, I will continue to visit Carolina Stompers from time-to-time in anticipation of stories from a conservative perspective which are rational, well-written, and about substantative topics.
I long for the date when conservatives find the next William F Buckley Jr who can represent their views with both wit and intelligence in the public market of ideas…..and not have to rely on the Rush Limbaugh’s and Sean Hannitys to babble on inchoherently to the ever narrowing republican base.
don talley,
Glad we make you laugh. That Democrat corruption and liberal stupidity we show at Stompers is hilarious isn’t it?
"Spider"? I looked it up and could not find it. If you will email me I will send you a copy of our traffic report. And thank you for saying, "I think it’s important for all voices to be heard".
No matter what your politics, please support the Mountain Xpress and websites like Ash’s. We at the Stompers feel they truly want all voices heard and they have the best reporters in the area. When we start reporting localy we promise to be fair and balanced. Our reporting won’t be anywhere near the caliber of Sanford or Forbes but It’s our opinion of these reports that we hope you listen to.
dempol,
I guess everything on Speed Visions "Super Bikes" gives bikers a bad name?
Or "American Thunder"? Let’s not stop there, how about "Super Cars".
Your going to love the episode where we ride with two members of law enforcement on the Parkway. We had a great time.
I know you hate me dempol, I read your comments on other blogs.
That’s ok. Weird, but ok. Just know that I am not afraid to use my real name and back my opinions with facts. Unlike yourself. Also, let your liberal friends know that I invited you to back up your opinions on 2 televised shows.
You have cowardly declined.
I usually take you liberals on with a bit of Ann Colture arrogancy. I do that because it is almost imposable to change the mind of the brain washed, cult minded Democrat. So I have a bit of fun poking fun at you liberals.
But you have struck a nerve with me in your posts. "KKK, The Klan, racist".
These are the words you use in your post about me and members of the Carolina Stompers and I consider them slanderous.
For the record – I am a proud member of the National Black Republican Association. I promote the NBRA on our website. The NBRA Chairman, Dr. Francis Rice, is a personal friend of mine. So is the Chairman of the BCGOP, Dr. Tim Johnson, another African American. I have been fighting for minorities in Buncombe County for years. I saw how the Democrats take advantage of minorities for votes. Please contact John Eliston, (editor of the Mountain Xpress), I feel sure he will tell you I am very supportive of Dr. Martin Luther Kings legacy.
My invitation will always remains open.
from the Carolina Stompers website:
"According to our web host we have over 25,000 people visiting http://www.carolinastompers.com every week. "
I’m laughing so hard I almost peed myself.
Dear Stompers:
If that makes you feel important then ….I guess there’s no harm in posting such fantasies. Rush has been living such fanstasies for years.
But, if you’re interested in a dose of reality, you might want to look into how hits counts are actually generated…..ever hear of the term "spider".
Having said that, I think it’s important for all voices to be heard, and in that regard I wish The Carolina Stompers website much success. I’ll continue to visit there on occaision when I need a break from reality.
Oh, Chad, where do I even start? Let us begin with babaloo’s assessment of Asphalt Surfers. “Douchebags”, “illegal stunts” and “wingnut” are all right on the money. You describe your program as “hilarious and exciting.” Why not consider the following story before making any claims of entertainment value?
I read a news item awhile back about a game played by “crotch-rocket” riders up in New York State. They pulled all kinds of high-speed tricks on interstates and rural roads – in some cases shot video of these antics – then posted their asinine adventures on a local website. While they were riding, they would cover their license plates, so no one could identify them. One day one of the aforementioned idiots came racing around a corner, right past a State Trooper, who promptly initiated a pursuit. He radioed dispatchers to call for back-up help, but a few minutes later that law enforcement officer lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a tree. He was dead before any back-up or paramedics arrived on the scene. As babaloo stated, this kind of behavior gives other bikers a bad name, but that is the least of it. You are promoting the very real possibility of tragic, untimely death. Nice.
As for your open invitation on the Citizens Speak Show or The Carolina Stomper, well, I think my many opinions posted on Ashvegas make my political, moral and social beliefs crystal clear. I do not honestly believe I would feel more comfortable attending a Klan rally – than stooping to appear on either of those shows – but it is likely a close call. No thank you.
dempol,
I would like to offer you an open invitation on the Citizens Speak Show or
The Carolina Stomper. What do you say?
Ash,
Wow! Thank you for the promo. I think everyone will find Asphalt Surfers hilarious and exciting no matter what your politics. Well….. with the exception of dempol. Ha, Ha!
Awesome, a show about douchebags on speedbikes performing illegal stunts on the interstate that give other bikers a bad name. Made by a wingnut. A dream come true.
Oh, I am certain the cable-access viewers of Western North Carolina cannot wait for re-runs of programs that sucked in the first place. It is comparable to bringing back bell-bottoms. Chad "I Couldn’t Be A Bigger Redneck" Nesbitt says he produced these shows, but doesn’t there have to be some level of production value to make that claim? Anything this group does is hilarious, but not in a good way. Check the updated Carolina Stompers website, complete with a countdown clock to the Palin presidency. Really? That is frighteningly hysterical, or maybe just frightening. You folks are flat-out NeoCon crazy!
