Tickets are on sale now for the 2012 TEDxAsheville conference, which expands this year to an all-day event on Sunday, November 4. Its theme is The Edge, and organizers say this year’s conference takes on talks that challenge what we’re not always comfortable thinking about, living with and accepting.

The tentative schedule is 11 a.m. – 5:30 p.m with extended breaks to explore the TEDxAsheville experience, and an hour for lunch. Tickets are $37 before October 4, and increase to $47 after that date.

TEDxAsheville has sold out nearly every year, and buying your ticket early is strongly recommended.

Standout presenters so far seem to be Nashville-to-Asheville fiddle pioneer Casey Driessen, Mission Hospitals geneticist Hutton Kearney2011 TEDWomen presenter/Warren Wilson grad Katie Spotz (the youngest person to row solo across the Atlantic) and teenage Asheville slam poet Liam Kelley Black.

Also appearing are members of Toubab Krewe  and returning presenter Jeffrey Kluger, the TIME magazine science editor whose 2011 TEDxAsheville talk was selected to appear on TED.com.
